Terms of Service

Last updated 30 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of Bash at bashit.in (“Bash”, “we”, “us”). By creating a Bash, viewing one, or reserving or paying for anything through it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Bash.

1. What Bash does

Bash lets a host make a gift registry for an occasion and share it with guests. Guests can reserve gifts so nobody buys the same thing twice, and can send cash gifts (“shagun”) or chip in towards a gift by paying the host directly through UPI.

2. Who can use Bash

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Bash or buy Bash Plus. Guests under 18 should only use Bash with a parent or guardian’s permission.

3. Hosts’ responsibilities

4. Payments between guests and hosts

Cash gifts and chip-ins go straight from the guest’s UPI app to the host’s UPI account. Bash is not a party to these payments, does not receive, hold or transfer that money, and does not verify that a payment was made. When a guest taps “I’ve sent it”, Bash records what the guest told us, nothing more. Any question about a gift payment, including refunds, is between the guest and the host.

Gifts bought from other shops through links on a Bash are sold by those shops, under their own terms.

5. Bash Plus

Bash Plus is an optional one-time upgrade for a single Bash, priced as shown on our pricing page. Payment is processed securely by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay, and you’ll get a receipt by email. Plus features unlock once the payment is confirmed. Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use Bash to break the law, collect money for anything other than a genuine personal occasion, mislead or harass people, upload harmful or infringing content, or interfere with the service. We may remove a Bash or block access if these terms are broken.

7. Your content

You own what you put on your Bash. You give us permission to store and display it so the service works. You can delete your Bash at any time from its edit page.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Bash running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above.

9. Limitation of liability

Bash is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for gifts or payments between guests and hosts, for purchases from third-party shops, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Bash Plus in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
